1999: personal quest becomes a passion
Their personal queeste drove founders Loek and Anke van den Boog to start Net4kids. They wanted to be able to choose the exact project their money would go to, and wanted to know the results of their 'investment'. Their request to adopt concrete projects and follow their development, was met with closed doors from many small and larger organizations. Finally, with the aid of UNICEF, they became directly involved in the construction of town centres in Southern Sudan, and many of their friends decided they too wanted to make a concrete contribution. Net4kids was founded to support this desire, and offer more people the opportunity to provide direct support to more projects.
2003 and further: rapid growth
The organisation has been growing rapidly since 2003. An increasingly broad team of professional volunteers is what makes expansion of the aid model possible.
