The future of ICT within Net4kids

As an internet-based party, there is constant pressure on Net4kids to improve and renew the systems. The current systems are largely dependent on (the personal skills of) volunteers, with the attendant fragmentation of systems, knowledge and support, ultimately leading to a loss in efficiency. In order to facilitate system growth, professional support is required. We have been looking for a strong ICT partner for quite some time, a search that has until now run into problems relating to expertise or financial possibilities.

Research into future market developments in general and at Net4kids specifically, however, has changed our vision on how to address ICT needs. Our search for a 'big fish' has been replaced by a search for a Chief Information Officer to support a variety of specialist parties. In a multi-sourcing model, we look for separate partners for a number of key areas, managed by a single central individual, thereby fulfilling the full spectrum of desires. The search for the CIO will continue in 2008.
