Contracting, monitoring and evaluation of projects
Net4kids is strong when it comes to fundraising and getting donors in touch with aid projects. Evaluating the price of land in Kathmandu if we want to build a school, or how much a math teacher in Ghana should be earning is a whole different story. That is why we outsource project contracting and monitoring to the renowned organisation Wilde Ganzen – who has over 50 years of experience in the field.
In 2007, our cooperation was strengthened. Wilde Ganzen handles contracts and monitoring for practically all Net4kids supported projects. Wilde Ganzen also evaluates and controls the reports (descriptive and financial) based on the applicable reporting criteria. Net4kids supports Wilde Ganzen in fundraising for its premium projects.
The projects Net4kids supports for several years are also monitored on-site. Net4kids and/or Wilde Ganzen employees visit the project and provide additional support and/or direction where needed, either locally or from the Netherlands. This creates strong involvement from all parties: Net4kids, Wilde Ganzen and the project partners. In 2007, 8 of the 24 projects were visited. In May 2007, Veronica Uhl, Programme Manager, visited 6 projects in Nepal (Child Watabaran Centre Nepal en Nepal Matri Griha). In November, board chairman Loek van den Boog travelled to India to see the progress being made by SAVE and to make an introductory visit to SSH in the Namakkal District.
