Development of the current website

Given the scale and impact of the relaunch, the decision of whether to continue implementing changes to the existing platform or not was weighed constantly throughout the year. Thankfully, the answer was often ‘yes’, so that improvements were made to the current website as well.

In 2006 it became possible to not only select projects/project parts, but also donate online immediately. Earlier, only donations to Max’s Magic Money Fund could be made online. These donations weren’t fed from a database, after all. The link has now been established, and the necessary changes were also made at the Geef Gratis Foundation allowing project-specific donations to be made. Since the spring of 2006, all parts can be paid for online; this is of key importance to a foundation like ours which rests heavily on the internet.

Whether due to increased name recognition and popularity, to the increasing number of donors, or to user interface improvements, one thing is certain: site traffic has doubled since last year. On average, we count 330 visitors per day.
