Net4kids offers donors access to special aid projects that can make a lasting difference for the children involved. All projects should be strongly anchored locally, provide sustainable long-term support (no emergency aid), and where possible, be scalable, which means that aid initiatives have intrinsic growth potential and could be implemented on a larger scale.

Net4kids was founded to supplement existing aid organisations, and wishes to collect money that would otherwise remain sidelined. We focus on the target group that wants to do more than simply fill out a cheque, that wants to see what their contribution is doing. This group, business or private, wants to determine where the money goes, and wants to know how it is spent.

This translates into a unique donation model which increases involvement in four steps:

• Select your own project: you decide what you give to whom
• Bi-annual personal reporting via e-mail or the web
• 100% of project donations go to the selected project
• Money-back guarantee

The Net4kids business model, in which transparency is paramount, supports the main goals further by strictly separating money flows, each with its own foundation:

• Net4kids Aid Foundation: project donations – 100% of funds to aid projects
• Net4kids Organisation: facilitates the Aid Foundation from the Netherlands. Costs are covered by organisation sponsorship in the form of money, goods and services.
• Net4kids Continuity Fund: consists of capital, donations and return on capital made available for that purpose. It is used to cover project costs and, if necessary, supplement organisational costs

We are an internet marketplace for child aid projects. That is also Net4kids’ role in the chain. We do not personally execute the aid projects we offer, but rather make the market for child aid (more) accessible to donors and project owners. For project partners, our organisation’s role varies from ‘visible front office’ all the way to outsourced marketing and fundraising. Via Net4kids, the partners gain access to funds they would otherwise not be able to address. Additionally, Net4kids helps support project partners in their IT infrastructure. For donors, our innovative business and donation model provides unique access to special child aid projects.

Internet plays a key role in the Net4kids model. Thanks to the internet, Net4kids can create transparency and involvement as well as provide donors with far-reaching services for reasonable costs. With smaller and smaller unit costs, we operate a scalable business model, making the organisation easily accessible to all target groups, both internal and external.
