Way of working

Net4kids has set high proces criteria for the selection, monitoring and evaluation of projects that we do fundraising for. Net4kids exclusively workswith local projectpartners that have a strong base and to which Net4kids' support clearly can add value. Out of respect for the knowledge and experience of our local partners we do not interfere with the project execution. 100% of our project donations go directly to the local partners, which in turn guarantee an effective use of resources.
Since (online) fundraising is our strenght we choose to work closely together with Wilde Ganzen (Wild Geese) for selecting, contracting and monitoring project partners. They have over 50 years of experience in this area.

Our way of working
Most support requests reach us through our website or through our existing network. If the request comes from a new project partner the selection criteria will be applied first.

Project partner selection
Net4kids mostly supports initiatives from mid-size project organizations that have ambitions to grow but do not have access to structural aid funds. Net4kids demands from partners a solid, reliable and open management as well as regular feedback and transparent reporting.
Important in the profile of a project partner is its  own efforts to find funding, entrepreneurship, self reliance and an innovative approach to solutions. All projects should match the following project criteria:

Project selection
Net4kids applies strict selection criteria to all projects. To apply for funding the following 5 criteria must be met:
  • Child aid: focus should be on structural improvement of childrens lives (education, healthcare, hygiene, housing and/or social support;
  • Sustainability: projects should aimed at long term improvement for the children involved. Ad-hoc projects are not eligible for funding;
  • Scalability: initiatives should be scalable. Preferably Net4kids focuses on concepts with intrinsic growth potential, which can be translated to additional initiatives in the region or beyond;
  • Firm local anchor: regardless of the location of the project partner, projects must be firmly anchored in the local culture and structures. Involvement, support and acceptance from the immediate vicinity of the children must be effectively secured. The starting point is that the request for help comes from the region itself.
  • Location: Due to the internal efficiency our geographical focus lies on projects in Africa and South-East Asia. We do take the liberty to operate outside this region.

      Projects that comply with the above mentioned criteria may apply for funding. An application form is available upon request.
